Key Accountabilities
- Accountability for the full sourcing execution of assigned raw materials for APAC
- Understanding of raw materials: analyzing the market, preparing sourcing strategies, utilization of a formal RFP process with implementation and tracking of results.
- Align and formal execution of global procurement strategies and best practices associated with bidding, negotiation, and supplier development.
- Sourcing of assigned raw materials in APAC and aligning with global strategic/APAC strategic approach together with the Global /Regional Category Leader.
- Identification, attaining commitment, and implementation of cost-out improvement opportunities to create structural and sustained advantages.
- Development of “should cost” and “make versus buy” financial models which provide predictive analysis to support decision making.
- Provide forward looking guidance on trends, threats, and opportunities throughout the complete feedstock and supply chain, update forecasted price periodically.
- Development of contingency and risk mitigation plans.
- Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Identify new supplier and lead the whole qualifications to expand the supply base
- Utilizing e-technologies (i.e, e-RFP’s, Internet searches, reverse auctions, etc.)
- Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health
